Very catchy song, I love it!
My family and I had a fun filled Saturday today. After hitting the snooze button for 30 minutes I finally decided to get out of bed and quickly wake everyone up. Our Saturday’s normally get off to a slow start, but not today. I made sure everyone got ready as soon as possible because we had to drive up to the mountains and back for a party by 2pm.
I have been promising the kids that we would take them to the snow for several weeks now and today we finally got to go. We had to drive up to the 6,000 foot level before we saw snow because it snowed 5 days earlier and warmed up since. The kids were excited to just see it as we were driving up, the last time we went was 2 years ago so it was like seeing it for the first time again.
It was a lot of fun watching my two oldest slide down the hill on their boogie board sleds. My daughter would be screaming all the way down and my son would yell AWESOME! when he came to a stop at the bottom of the hill. Everything was good until my daughter landed in a puddle of mud, she cried a little and returned to the fun. My one year old didn’t know what the snow was, he was afraid to walk on it. After a while he would stand on it, he kept calling the snow “mil”, that’s how he says milk.
After all that fun we went for a drive through Julian and Santa Ysabel. We stopped at a pie shop and picked up a French apple pie and then stopped at Dudley’s Bakery for some pastries. We were running a little behind so we quickly headed home to get ready for the party. The party was being held at Dave and Buster’s for my son’s classmate.
The kids had a lot of fun there, they really enjoyed playing with their classmates. They played games like bingo and freeze dance for prizes, they were also given cards so they could play the arcade games. Later in the evening they had prizes left so I got to play bingo and won a DVD.
After all that fun we went home and just relaxed, watched a movie and now everyone is asleep as I am writing this.

I just finished uploading photos from our Disneyland trip to the computer, flickr and facebook and I was just thinking about what a great time we had as a family for the two days we were there. I will have to say Disneyland is ” the happiest place on earth” because my wife and I were able to experience something we haven’t experienced before. We were able to see our two oldest completely happy and that made me feel really good. Having this experience as a parent was so much better thanĀ any visit I had as a kid.
We have taken the kids to Disneyland before but I think they were a little too young to really enjoy it. This trip was a lot of fun because they actually wanted to go on more rides this time. My daughter surprised the heck out of me because she wanted to go on scary rides.
We had so much fun there that we ended going back for a second day. Our plan was just to go there for one day but going there with three kids this time slowed us down quite a bit. The lines were very short, the longest wait in a line was 45 minutes. The best days to go there are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
I look forward to going to the happiest place on earth again!
